About RevCom: the Makers of Future Ridez
RevCom Productions is dedicated to making Future Ridez a fun, exciting TV show that will include everything from the mainstream to the bizarre and unusual. We’ll feature cars from big automakers such as Honda, Toyota, Ford, and General Motors, as well as a huge assortment of small companies who are true innovators in the AFV world. We’re also interviewing the people who cannot wait and are converting there old gas-powered iron into new alternative powered transportation.
Future Ridez is for the motorhead, the guys who build their own hot rods and work on their own cars. We want to prove to everyone that you can have fun and lots of speed with alternative fuels, including electricity. In the next few years (maybe months) as several countries develop battery technology, expect to see some awesome speed from electric cars. There are already several that are in the 4-second category for 0-60mph…and a couple that are sub-4 seconds. It’s only going to get better… and faster.
And it’s NOT JUST CARS! We’ll be bringing you the very latest in electric, bio-fuel and hydrogen motorcycles, scooters, bicycles…even alternative skateboards! We’re scouring the AFV world looking for fun, interesting ridez to show you…and we’ve already got some very cool ones ready to go.
In 2002 RevCom purchased the video library of World of Collector Cars, which was one of the largest video libraries of classic car in the world. World of Collector Cars had begun production in 1991 and ceased in 2000. During that 9-year period 270 shows were produced, broadcast on approximately 150 PBS stations each week and syndicated in 11 countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Types of cars covered included everything from Austins to Z-cars. Hundreds, possibly thousands were video-taped for posterity, including the interviews with the owners, designers, builders and restorers of these famous marques.
